Armed robbery near Westerville

An armed robbery this morning at the McDonalds Restaurant at 161 and Sunbury Road.   The two men got away with some cash--nobody was hurt.  Blendon Township police are investigating.  Employees say the two men were armed when they stormed the restaurant.

Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for anyone with information regarding a series of car break-ins in the Worthington area. In March, a laptop was stolen from a car in the parking lot of Villa Nova Restaurant on North High Street. In April, a briefcase was stolen from a car parked at the Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home. Two other vehicle break-ins have been reported in the same area. Detectives say they believe the same suspect is connected to all four cases. They're looking for a white man in his mid 30s. He is approximately 6 feet tall, about 150 pounds, balding and clean-shaven.

Six year old left in Short North bar

Police are looking for a man who they said left his six-year-old son at a Short North bar last night. Officers were called to Park Street Tavern around 7:30 p.m. by a woman who noticed the child and called 911. She and a friend were following the boy because it looked like he was being made to go from business to business to sell candy bars. When she approached the boy's father to ask for identification, she says he took off with an infant in a stroller and left the 6 year old behind. The boy is now with Children Services.
